1967 Chevy Van V8 Engine Conversion Work and Eating Some Grapes

Installing the new throttle cable

I got a late start today working on the van project, not until just after noon. I started out working on replacing the throttle cable with a newer heaver duty one. That shouldn’t of taken very long, but since the newer cable had different ends, I had to do some modifying to get it to work and it took a lot longer than I thought it would.

Here’s the work area.van

The engine is mostly done,  just need to clean up the work area and put some of the tools away.engine

The old oxygen sensor

I tired to remove the oxygen sensor from the old exhaust system as I need to get a new exhaust system. Unfortunately the darn things threads seemed to be welded in and most of the threads stripped out when it came off.

Not too many threads left on the oxygen sensor.oxsensor

That just means I will have to get a new one.

I also installed the driver’s seat and that was all I had in me today.’

Grapes are getting ripe

Later in the day I went out to my grape vine area here as the grapes are getting ripe.grapes

Some of the grapes were ripe enough to eat, so I ate around and found plenty of grapes to fill me up.grape

I spent the rest of the day just puttering around the yard and taking it easy.

Tomorrow I will either go kayaking or work on the van, or maybe both?

That was my day.
