Bulldozer Won’t Start and I Go For a Ride In the Park

I rode on up to where my equipment was parked today.

I needed to put the charged battery in the bulldozer and figure out why it won’t start.

I put the battery in and tried the starter. It turned over, but barely and not enough to start it up.

Greased

I needed to get to the starter but I didn’t think I had the right wrench, so I switched over to Skiddy who needed to be greased.

I greased all the grease fittings.

Then I remembered I had an adjustable wrench in Hondo’s glove box, so I took this part off to get to the starter.

I got the rest of my tools out to check this stuff out.

I took the battery cables off the starter and cleaned them up and put them back on. Still no go on that either.

OK, it’s either the starter motor or the starter solenoid. I needed more tools for that, so that’s as far as I got on that one.

I thought of moving some more rock down onto the road I’ve been working on, but it was still a bit wet from the rain, so I’ll do that tomorrow.

I checked the rock slide when I went by and it was ok.

I decided to take a drive up to where the park trail guys have been working. I spotted some wild turkeys on the way up.

The road takes you on up to the higher hill tops.

I found the spot where the park guys had been working but no one was there today.‘

I headed back down the hill and on home for a nap.
