Rain
We got about a half inch of rain last night, so today I rode up into the hills to see what effect it had on the road work I’ve been doing for the neighbors. I’d redone this intersection to drain it a short time ago.
It wasn’t a lot of rain, but what we had drained well so that looks good.
Visiting
Then I rode over to another neighbor’s place to talk about road work for them. I caught them home so we discussed removing some big stumps off a big slide that happened a couple of years ago. I’d need some chainsaw support to help cut them up and with moving another big fir tree that was cut up and was on the road in the way. We’ll take care of that soon.
I rode around some more enjoying the day and just checking things out and stopped at this overlook for a look and a break.
After that I headed home for a nap and some chair hopping around the yard.
Moving rock
Later in the day, I needed to move this rock that spilled over the fence and put it to use in a good spot.
And moved it the short distance to here where I needed it behind this bulkhead. I unloaded it and got this one more load of rock from the creek and unloaded it too, after a short break.
Now I was done with the wheelbarrow and needed to get it out of the creek. I don’t remember how I got it out the last time. I decided to try and push it out up this bank. It turned out to be easier than I thought, as the wheel went up the hill fairly easily, easier than I did.
Of course, I needed another break after getting the wheelbarrow out of the creek and sat in the yard here for a spell.
Eventually, I rounded up my pitch fork to get ready for the next job with the wheelbarrow.
I’ll be moving this redwood mulch out of here, but not today.
Quad battery
Next I put the battery charger on my smaller quad runner to charge it up as I want to use it soon. I’ve got too many rigs and too many batteries to keep going.
I spent what was left of the day chair hopping around the yard with my chickens.
Nice day.
If you are gonna keep pushing wheelbarrows around and up hills, you need one of these:
SuperHandy Wheelbarrow Utility Cart Electric Go to Amazon and do a search on that and check it out. I have one and now wonder how I did without it for so long. It is super powerful and has handled every load I have put in it.
Hey Kenny, that looks like a real good idea. The park guys had one in the back of their truck the other day. Only draw back is I already have too many batteries to keep charged up. All these different batteries we use these days is enough to drive one crazy keeping them all going.
