Checking the road
It’s been raining for a couple of days, so I needed to go up into the park and check to see how the road I’m working on putting some rock on is doing.
I rode on up this park road.
And went through the gate to the road I’ve been working on.
The road was in good shape. I stopped to fix this ditch to divert the water across the road instead of running down it.
These are just temporary ditches until I get more rock on the road and put proper ditches in it.
Gate
I stopped at this gate and tried to put it back on it’s hinges.
I couldn’t get it lined up to get it back on it’s hinges. I had to adjust the hinge mounts a bit, but I still couldn’t lift the gate to get both hinges lined up, so I left it that way until I get another person to help line the hinges up.
Log
Then I headed on over to our place and had to stop and cut this log up so I could remove it from the road. That was a fairly easy one to remove as there wasn’t a lot of brush to move.
Overlook
Then I made it to the overlook to take a break and enjoy the day a bit.
The sky was full of clouds as it was raining this morning before I got up, but it stopped for a bit.
It’s a nice view of the forest from that spot.
Trail
I walked out the trail that starts at the spot, but not too far before I turned back.
Sticks and rocks
I continued on down the road towards my place, but had to stop here and remove these sticks off the road and some rocks too. There’s always stuff to throw off the roads, that’s just the way roads in the forest hills are.
Pond
I always go by the pond. Ravens have been using it to drink and bathe quite a bit lately. You can hear them up in the trees, just above the pond, waiting for me to leave.
Back home, I went in for a nap.
Later in the day, I went out to adjust the chains on my dirt bikes, both of them were a bit loose. I have two dirt bikes. One of them had a real loose chain.
