I had a 2 PM appointment with my doc at the VA today. I left a bit early and arrived a bit early, so signed in and sat down and waited.
Purpose
My purpose of this visit was to get my doctor to refer me to the University of California, San Francisco facility as I want a doctor to help out with my eating problem with corn as I need the best right now. I also wanted to bring my doc up to speed on where I am right now on this subject.
I was admitted and sat waiting in a small room for the doc to show up.
She moved in with her computer, a rather larger women, gave me greetings and sat down organizing her computer.
I brought her up to speed with my corn problem and showed her my skin problems that have developed lately, severe itchy back and swollen legs and feet and lots of skin flaking off my body. Most of my skin on my body is red right now. The floors of my house look like they are covered in sawdust, but no, it’s just my bodies skin flaking off.
I explained to her that I’ve been trying to find a cure for my problem every night for the last 25 years and recently, I discovered the cure for a leaky gut which I have, is to just eat meat as that’s one of the main things that can cure leaky gut. It also takes care of getting corny things out of my eating system as it’s also what is called an elimination diet. Franky, I wish I had known this 25 years ago.
I finally learned that the only way to get away from corn stuff, is to eat only meat. Meat that is free from corn and it’s products. And since meat can also cure leaky gut, that’s another great benefit.
My story so far
So, I started eating meat and mostly only meat from Costco just before last Christmas. At that time I had a full body itch anytime I ate food. That itch was ten times worse in my crotch aera and I about scratched my crotch off every night for the last 25 years which made it very hard to get much sleep. I’d scratch until I was sore.
To my surprise around just before last Christmas, my crotch itch stopped and the skin in that crotch area renewed and got soft like a baby’s butt and the itching was mostly gone in that area. That was a surprise.
But
But, the itching now moved to the rest of my body and that skin started having lots of problems, like it went through a skin renew. Most of the old skin fell off in flakes. My house looked like I had sawdust all over my floors and now my body was red and if I ate anything or even had some water, it would bring on a severe itch on my whole body, but worse on my back, which mostly sent firery and prickly pains up my back which where very pressure sensitive and made it hard to sleep and mostly painful most of the time.
The good
So, what’s good?
To add to what I already stated, if I ate a bit of food or a drink of water, it would make my body itch real bad. That was going to make it hard for me to keep my weight up, among other stuff.
Nothing good about that.
However when I got home I was hungry so I ate some beef, at first just a bit. After some time I ate some more without any bad itching and once I realized this I ate about a quarter pound of the beef I had in the pot. Now, that’s something real good. If I can eat and drink, I can survive.
More good
My severe itching crotch cleared and renewed it’s skin around Christmas, No more itch there, something very positive.
And it appears my body is doing some kind of mending of it’s skin even though I have some real bad itching.
So, Am I on the mend and just have to survive the mending process? It appears that might be what is happening and only time will tell.
I don’t think I will ever cure the corn problem but if I only eat corn free beef, I can finally get the corn out of my system which should improve my life immensely.
The doc
Back to the doc. She approved my referral to UCFS. Now I just need to wait to see if UCFS accepts the referral.
So that’s my story for now. I’m hoping my severe itching will recede and I’ll get better, but it will take time to see how my body responds from this point on and what trials my body puts me through during the mending process, if that is going on.
Nice day.
