Forest road work
I headed over to a neighbor’s place deep back in the woods today.
I started by clearing this little slide off the road.
I put a bunch of that little slide in this turn to fill in the ruts that were in the road.
I got the turn all fixed up then worked on his driveway to smooth it out and take off the berm he had on it. Berms don’t let water off the roads and the water collects and does a lot of damage to the road.
This is back out on the main road where I did some smoothing out. That’s my neighbor there. I had him throwing sticks and roots off the road as I was working.
We cut this big fir tree down that was leaning over the road too much. I plan to dig it out tomorrow to make his drive wide enough for the big fire trucks they have around here these days. I’ve already dug some of the trees roots out, that’s why it’s as wide as it is.
I parked it there and went on home for the day for a needed nap.
