Forest Road Work and Some Trail Cam Pictures

Road work

It seems like this work on the old road is never ending, but I am making progress, although slowly.

I went on up and got the Skidder going around noon today.rigs1

Here I am covering up some big redwood roots with some dirt. Less bumpy that way. It will eventually get some rock on it.roots2

I also fixed the part on the other side of this gate with some dirt as water was coming down the road off the hillside here when it rains hard. I’m done for the day, around five, so am headed for home.gate3

I headed down this road to get back to my place.road4

Ravens bathing

I picked up my trail cam cards the other day. Here’s some ravens bathing and drinking water in my little pond. They seem to like the little pond and I’d say, throughout the day, more then a couple hundred ravens use the little pond.ravens10

And there have been a bunch of wild turkeys in the area lately.turkeys8

A lone coyote goes by one of my cams. He’s the only one I’ve seen up here so far.coyote7

And I’ve picked up this mountain lion several times in the trail cams. It aways walks by like it owns the place.lian9

Back to my place, I put the chickens away for the night. They are headed for the roost.chickens5

Nice day.
