Note: For anyone having trouble getting to this page. My internal address has changed. That means https://bobseyes.net has a different sub address, one you can’t see. This means that old shortcuts, favorites and bookmarks won’t work right. To fix this, just go to https://bobseyes.net and make a new shortcut, favorites or bookmark and things should work as they should. That also includes Blog rolls, if they are not working properly.
Thank You
Needed a paddle
I hadn’t been to Jenner for a paddle for awhile, so I headed on down that way today. The sun was out and the wind was low so it looked like it was going to be a nice day and it was.
I paddled across the river to Penny Island and down along the side headed down river which looked like this.
I paddled on by this great blue heron fishing away.
Seemed like a lot of geese around today
Just off the lower end of the island I passed by these geese.
And not far from them I passed by more geese just enjoying themselves in the sun.
Headed to the open river’s mouth area
I could see the river’s mouth was open as I headed on down that way.
And lot of birds where flying around down there as I approached.
It was going to high tide and there were some big waves breaking on the rocks as I watched.
Harbor seals sunning
I watched some harbor seals taking it easy on the right side of the open mouth.
Headed back up the river
I hung around the mouth area for about an hour then headed back up the river. A lot of birds had landed on the water since I went by here a bit earlier. Mostly seagulls and pelicans.
I decided to go up the back channel of he island and went past these sleeping geese.
I stopped at this spot and sat and watched for a bit, taking a bit of a nap.
Brown pelicans where fishing away
Eventually I paddled up just above the island where I ran into these brown pelicans doing some fishing.
They would take off and then dive on fish as I watched.
Didn’t go far up the river
I paddled only a short ways up the river and sat for a good while, then headed back down he river.
I slowly worked my way back down the river to the boat ramp and went on home for the day.
Van’s oil change
At home I had plans to change the oil and filter in the van, so after a little nap, I got the stuff together and did that. I did drop the old filter into the oil drain pot, which made a big splash and spilled oil out on the ground which made a bit of a mess, but other than that, it went well and I got her done.
I spent the rest of the day sitting around in the yard just enjoying the day and that was my day for a nice one.
If you get this comment she’s working real good. The only glitch I noticed was when I signed on the blog was September 6, when I clicked home page I got this blog which was yesterday.
