Neighbor visit

I needed to talk with some of the neighbors that live up in the hills so  I rode Hondo up there and found the first one home so we chatted about roadwork for a bit. Then I took off for another neighbor’s place but caught them going out the road so we chatted on the road for a bit.

And the last guy I found at the rock slide getting ready to load up his truck with rock for his corral where his horse lives. It’s actually his wife’s and daughters horse. We chatted and I left him loading up his truck which his daughter was driving.

It was getting late in the day so I rode over to a break area for a break and parked here.

You can see the sun is just going down in the west.

After a good sit at the break area, I  headed for home for a nap. It was a bit chilly so I started up my wood stove.

Friday November 15, 2024 Guerneville CA.

Forest ride

Barry showed up this morning for a bike ride. With the recent rain, the ground was wet and real nice to ride on. No dust is also real nice.

We took off for the hills and right away had to stop and throw some brush off the trail.

We rode a bit further and ran int5o this old rotten log on the trail. Barry took care of the log while I watched.

Warming up

We rode around and stopped up at the top for a break and to get some sun to warm up a bit. It was a bit chilly out today, like maybe winter has set in.

We had a nice long  break up here and we sure did get some sun to warm up.

Eventually we took off riding again. The view of Guerneville was real nice as we stopped here for a bit at the Guerneville overlook.

We rode around for quite some time using up most of the day and riding all around our neighbor’s places. We finally got tired out and headed for home.

Barry took off for his place after getting a dozen eggs from my chickens. I went in for a much needed nap and to warm up a bit.
