Documentary
As I drove on up through the state park today, I saw all these trailers. From yesterday, I knew they were going to do some serious video making today.
From what I understand the documentary is called Peoples of the West, if I remember right.
I drove on up through the park and found the set on the road I take up the hill to work on the old road.
Shooting set
Here’s one of their sets where they will make some videos. Indian stuff. In truth, the Indians didn’t live in the redwood forest as it would of been too wet and cold most of the time. They lived up in the hill tops in this area as it was warmer and dryer up there. But the redwoods do make a nice setting for the filming.
I needed to get through them. The guy coming down the road is a ranger that clued them in about me and they got their stuff off the road so I could pass on through.
Most of them were off the road as I drove on by.
There were using these smoke generators to make fog for the set.
Road work
Today I was going to improve this crossing to make it easier for low cars to get over. One of the ladies that lives back here in the woods uses a wheelchair and has a low car so she can get in and out in it. She’s been having some trouble getting over my water crossing ditches, so I’m trying to improve the crossing for her.
I’m just finishing up on this crossing. I stretched it out to make the hump smaller.
I repaired one more crossing then went up to fuel Skiddy.
Another set
Coming back down the hill I ran into this set where they’d been filming today.
A bit down the road I ran into the bunch of them, just getting ready to start some more filming. You can see the smoke generators making fog. There were at least fifty of them on the road. I asked a guy about going through them and he said, sure Bob. So nice to be known. :O)
I made it home for a nice nap.
And then went outside to do some chair hopping with the chickens.
