Propane
My tank was empty so I had to take it off and go get it filled up in town.
The guy said my tank was out of date but he’d fill it one last time.
Park gates
I went for a bike ride up into the forest going through the state park. The guys have been putting in some new gates and it looks like they are almost done with them.
Downed tree
I rode up the old dirt rode I’ve been working on. Looks like another tree fell down while I wasn’t looking. The people that live back here that need to go in and out each day pretty much have to saw the downed trees out of the way to get by.
Hike
I rode around a bit in the hills and then walked down this road that needs some cleaning up, eventually. It’s on a neighbor’s place.
Once back home, I went in for a nap.
Then I came out and had a look at my machine and decided it needed some cleaning out, especially the radiators, but not until later in the day when the sun goes down.
Blackberry vines
Instead I got my loppers out and worked on cutting some of these blackberry vines down.
I cut some blackberry vines out of these raspberries too as they stick you good while picking the raspberries. Even the chickens don’t like the blackberry vines.
Blowing out radiators
In the evening, I blow out the three radiators, some for oil cooling and made a lot of dust and got pretty dusty myself.
And I installed this new mirror on the old mirror that got busted by a big redwood branch when I first got the machine. I decided a clip on mirror would be a lot cheaper than a new John Deere mirror.
Nice day.
If you do a LOT of trimming, one of these can make the job a LOT easier. Go to Amazon and check this our: Ryobi OLP1832BX Branch Loppers 18V ONE+ 32mm 150Kg/m 250Nm Bypass
Not a link, but it should get you there. They are a little pricey, but well worth it, to me, anyway. Eliminates a lot of bending over and struggling to cut the bigger stuff. Cuts anything you can get in the jaws.
Kenny,
I’ve been thinking about this and looked into them and am sorta interested, but I haven’t seen many of them that are more like lopers as i like the extra length. Lots of short cutters but not many longer ones, but there are a few. I already have a lot of battery stuff from Milwaukee, so I’d really like to stick with something from them but they seem to only make the short ones. The longer one from ryobi seems to be a bit on the slow side and they use their own battery.
