Last day before it rains
I only had today to do what I needed to do to get things ready for the rains that are coming tonight.
I had most of the road in shape for the rains, but I still had a few things to finish up.
I rode up the road to where the Skidder was parked.
Brush
I stopped here to cut this brush out of the way.
Of course that makes brush so I got it cleaned off the road.
Fuel
I made it up to where Skiddy was parked. It was out of fuel, so I fueled it up for a days work.
A full fuel tank means I can work all day long.
I hauled rock down the road.
To the wet spots, such as this spring that is crossing the road and making some mud.
And then I headed back up to get another bucket full of rock.
And back down the road again with another load of rock. I did that for most of the day and got done what I wanted to get done before it rains.
The last thing I did was to cut a small drainage ditch across this road so the spring water that pops out of the hill will cross the road and not run down it.
I finished up just before dark and was satisfied with the work.
Let it rain.
