Morning
The creek looked real inviting this morning, so I plopped my chair down with a cup of coffee in hand to enjoy it.
Camp
This is our camp this morning with Marty taking a little snooze.
Clouds
It wasn’t long before the clouds started moving in on us and we got a few drops of rain.
Crawdads
Marty retrieved his trap this morning, empty. It appears there are so many otters here that they are eating most of the crawdads.
Moving out
We decided to move camp around one. We are moving to a place just on the edge of the forest to setup the two day trip towards home.
We dropped out of the hills and headed across this valley.
The road was pretty good, although a bit rocky in places.
We crossed this valley over to the forest on the other side to locate a camp for the night.
Camp
We found a camp on this dead-end road which will do nicely for the night.
Walk
After settling into camp, I went for a little walk around the forest, near the vans.
I walked through here taking my time.
I went as far as that ridge up ahead where I turned around and found my way back to the vans.
I was sitting in camp in my chair when this little critter caught my eye as he came almost into camp. Appears he found something on the ground that Marty had thrown out.
Heading for home
Tomorrow we will start the trek home and will drive about three hours to our next camp near Downieville CA.
Nice day.
