Forest road work
I had a little more road work to do on the old dirt road I’m prepping to rock.
I rode on up this road to where the skidder was parked.
Fueling up
I fueled up the Skidder and started it up to warm it up.
Fixing wet spots
Then I hauled some rock down to this wet spot as it was getting real muddy from the traffic on it. Then I got my shovel out and opened up the drainage ditch until the water flowed down it without getting onto the road.
I fixed a couple more wet spots on the road and that was it for the day as far as road work goes.
Fueling the dozer up
Then I drove over to where the bulldozer was parked and put fuel in it and greased it too. Now, it’s ready to go for tomorrow for some road prep work. I’m prepping the road to put rock on it all, eventually, when the rains stop. Right now I’m just putting rock on the trouble spots that are real wet, so the neighbors that use the road to get in and out of their places can use it without getting stuck.
Then I rode on down into the state park to chat with the park guys, but I was too late and missed them.
I rode on home and went to town to get some more diesel and filled up all my containers.
