Drizzly day
I got a late start today as I didn’t sleep well last night.
When I went out to feed the chickens, there was a real light drizzle, not enough to need a rain jacket.
Once I got it going I headed up through the state park to check on the old dirt road to make sure all the water crossings were working ok.
Park kiosk
As I entered the park, I could see the volunteers were doing some work on the kiosk.
I took a picture of the workers and continued on up the road. I think the drizzle shut them down as they weren’t there when I came on back.
I fixed a couple of the water crossings and continued on up the road.
As long as I was up here, I continued on over to our place and picked up my trail cam cards.
One of the cams was on the big tree at the pond.
I stopped at this overlook to take a picture.
Just a light drizzle but it was picking up slightly.
Theater
After I collected the four cam cards, I headed back down into the state park and went up to check out the theater that I heard they were doing some repairs on.
They were working on replacing a lot of the seats. The repairs are being done by the volunteers that are also working on the kiosk.
Woodchips
When I got home, I found the chip guys delivering more woodchips. I think I might be getting enough woodchips now.
Trail cam pictures
Lots of times the trail cam pictures are not too clear so I don’t post most of them, but here’s a few of them.
This turkey vulture is landing to get a drink of water from a tiny puddle under it. While it was there, another one came in for a drink also.
And a mountain lion goes on by.
Snow and hail
There’s a fox going by in this one,. But what I found real interesting was there was snow on the ground. We don’t get much snow around here, but I found it snowed or hailed about six times in this spot this month. I think it melts pretty fast as I haven’t seen any of this stuff in the day time.
Nice day.
