My health
About a year ago, my health went to hell, rather fast.
I got eczema, full body and I itched and hurt like a burn all over. My skin was falling off and renewing faster than it should and was quite painful. It was all bad enough to make me disfunctional most of the time.
The VA and UCFS have been working on finding me some drugs that might help for the last year.
The latest drug I just starting is a newer type they call a biologic drug that I inject once a month and is just starting to kick in and shows some promise. It’s called Nemluvio.
Anyway, at the time, I just didn’t feel like doing a blog any more as I had too many problems to deal with. I’d been wanting to restart my blog for quite some time now and I finally got it going.
I’d gotten a new computer during all that so all my blogging software was gone and needed to be installed and set up again which I finally accomplished last night.
So, here’s my first blog of the pictures that were in my camera.
A house overlooking Jenner
I needed to talk with the rancher at Jenner that I bought a grass fed corn-less beef from. I knew he lived up on the top of a hill overlooking Jenner and the Pacific ocean which I’d never been up too so I thought I’d just try and drive up there, knowing I’d probably run into a locked gate.
I did run into that locked gate but there was a driveway to the right at the gate so I pulled in there thinking it might be where he lived. It wasn’t.
I got out and looked around, a lady came out of the barn who was feeding the horses there.
She said it wasn’t the right place and kept feeding the horses and didn’t run me off, like most people would have.![]()
This lady was feeding the horses.![]()
I chatted with the lady for awhile while she fed the horses and then drove back down the hill to the Jenner overlook to have a look at the river and the ocean.
The river’s mouth was closed. This is the river backed up by the sandy dam, looking out at the ocean to the north.![]()
This the river on the left and the ocean on the right looking south to Goat rock.![]()
And this is looking straight out, looking west of the closed river’s mouth.![]()
These are birds resting at the closed river’s mouth.![]()
Another day
I needed to ride up into the hills on our property to adjust the dozer’s tracks so I got the stuff I needed and hopped in my side by side for the ride up into the hills where the dozer was parked.![]()
I rode up this road into the forest.![]()
And on up through here, headed to the top.![]()
I made it to where the bulldozer was parked and got my stuff out to adjust the tracks.![]()
The board is used to measure the track sag to adjust the tracks.![]()
Once the tracks were adjusted, I needed to test them out. There was a log across the road not far away.![]()
I cleared these logs off the road and the tracks were adjusted just right.![]()
From there I drove on over to my cousin’s place for a visit.![]()
Old mine
A few days later I drove on up to the old mercury mine to visit some guys building a new house on the property. Here’s part of the old mine that has been shut down for quite some time now.![]()
A hike to the waterfall
A few days ago I went for a hike with Louisa. We rode on up to where the trail starts and got out for the short walk to to the waterfall area.![]()
It’s a short walk to the waterfall area on this nice trail.![]()
Louisa took some pictures on the way.![]()
We made it to the waterfall. There’s only a little bit of water at the falls this time of year.![]()
We headed back to the side by side and went for a ride. We had a nice day.
Ok, that’s my first blog and I don’t expect to be doing them everyday, at least for now.
