Checking Out the Old Dirt Road With My Car and Trying to Get My Cell Phone to Connect Using WIFI Calling

Old dirt road

Not having much to do today, I first went over to  my neighbors to see if I could get some help getting my cell phone to use WIFI calling but no luck there. I think I need to take it down to T-Mobil to see what they can do for it.

Old dirt road

I decided to take my car up the old dirt road I’ve been working on the see how it goes over the water crossing ditches I have in the road as one of the people that lives back in the hills has been having problems with her car hitting bottom.  She is in a wheel chair and needs a low car to get in and out of it. Every one else seems be doing doing well with the crossings. Her car has gotten the front plastic cracked so far. Todays cars are mostly just made for paved roads and not made for off roading, even the all wheel drive ones which she does drive.

My car went over the crossings with no problems, but I could see where I could improve them some for her which I’ll do soon.

Cell phone

As long as I was up in the hills, I knew of a guy that is pretty good with cell phones so I went over to  his house for a visit. He tried a lot of stuff but couldn’t get it to use WIFI calling either, but I did learn a bunch of stuff from him about cell phones.

I was there most of the day. When I went home down the old dirt road, I didn’t hit bottom anywhere.

When I got home, I ate some cherries and then went in for a nap.

Nice day.

not sure you have tried this, but you need to set up e911 address on your tmobile account before you can enable wifi calling.

      Hi Doug,
Yes, you are right and that’s where the problem is. My cell phone is through Truconnect which is a T-mobile company that uses government funding to get older people to use cell phones providing free cell phone service and since I am a vet I’m eligible. When I try to put anything in for my wifi calling it gaves me a T-mobile app and when it asks for my phone number, it won’t accept it, so something is wrong and I can’t change the T-moble app. So, I think my solution is to go to a T-mobile place and see what they can do.

I wasnt aware of that program. We use TMobile for our carrier up here in Oregon. works everywhere we need it to work when we travel and we have Starlink for internet so we use wifi calling when in dead zones down in Nevada or Arizona. Hope you can get it figured out.
