Sunday October 13, 2024 Leaving Plumas National Forest CA.
Foggy forest
It drizzled all night, very light, not even enough to get the ground wet.
This morning the forest was all fogged in, giving the forest a mystical look.
The fog cleared out around 9AM and the sun was out nicely to warm us up.
We had a few hours to travel today, so we took off around noon, so we wouldn’t get to our next destination too soon.
This is the road we took from our camp site heading out on our trek home.
We traveled through some big meadows.
We stopped here for a short break.
And then continued on heading out of the forest.
The road is getting a bit wider and in better shape indicating we are getting closer to a paved road.
We stopped here by a little pond we wanted to check out.
This is the pond we checked out.
After that, we were able to find some cell phone service so we stopped and I did my blog postings.
Paved roads
Then it was all paved roads towards home.
Camp
We traveled about three hours to a place called Bullard’s Bar Reservoir, just past Downieville CA. where we have a special place to camp for the night.
Tomorrow we do the final day to home.
Nice day.
Next day
We drove the rest of the way home today and made it ok.
First thing I did was hop on my dirt bike and go for a ride.
Nice day.
Yes, thanks! Hope all well and things are good at home.
Welcome home safe & sound. I enjoyed your postings. Thanks for taking us along. Good for you for sticking it out with van troubles & Marty’s leg injury. Hope he’s all healed up.
