Chicken Sitting, a Bit of Work and Waiting For My Phone Line to Get Repaired

Waiting on the phone guys

The last couple of days I’ve done about the same thing. I’ve been waiting for the telephone company to repair my broken phone line as I have no internet or phone, except for my cell phone which just sorta works here among the big redwood trees and hills. They seem a little slow getting the house phone repaired.

I’ve put some time in unloading the stuff from the van.

More chicken fences

I cut some more fence wire to block the chickens in.

This fence blocks the chickens from going around the back of the house to get to the other side.

Lots of sitting with the chickens

I sat around with the chickens while they did their thing in the yard.

Mulching trees to keep the chickens out

I picked up some of the redwood debris that fell from the redwood trees and hauled it over to where I planted the new apricot trees. The chickens tried to help out a bit.

I put the mulch around the new apricot trees mostly to keep the chickens from digging them up.

But mostly I spent a lot of time sitting around enjoying the chickens.

Jacked up the repair guys

It showered on and off today. My telephone guy hadn’t arrived so I called the repair guys to speed things up a bit. The guy finally showed up around six tonight. He measured the line and said it was broken 3300 feet down the road so he left to repair it saying it’d  likely be tomorrow before it got done so I wait.

How internet is done

So to publish a blog I go out front with my cell phone hot spot and my laptop. First I find a place my cell phone will work among the trees then I hook the lap top to the hotspot and can publish and check my email. It’s a bit of a pain but it works.
