Ride in the forest
Barry showed up again for a dirt bike ride. I dropped what I was going to do and joined him.
Why I drop everything. Mostly it’s fun and it’s one of the best ways to get the kind of exercise I need at my age. Riding up in hilly country works all of my muscles. You use all of your muscles just to stay on the bike.
Caught up with some neighbors
Anyway, we were off and rode all around and headed over to one of our neighbor’s place. It turned out they were up at their place fixing some stuff up so we had a good chat with them. They don’t live up here anymore and are working on selling their place to the state park, like my cousin is. They were tiding up the place a bit to make it more presentable.
Break spot
We rode around some more, then rode on up to our rest area at the top of the ridge.
Checking trails out
After a good break we rode on down the hill a ways and stopped to see if this old trail was open or not. Barry headed on up it with his trimmers. I went a ways up and then sat down to enjoy the forest and waited for him to come back down the hill. He said there were some trees down across the trail up near the top.
We rode over to another place and checked out this trail which was a bit brushy. More of that exercise I was talking about.
Sink for the wife
We stopped at my cousin’s place to check out this sink. Barry has been looking for a big sink for his wife and thought this one might do.
After a few hours of riding we made it back to my place and Barry took off for his place.
Welding cart work
I had a short nap then decided I’d try to get this hookup wire wired to my new welding cart. I cut the plugs off this heavy duty extension cord to use for my wire as it was 10 gauge. It’s cheaper to use this than to just buy wire for the job.
I needed to wire these two plugs that run my welder and plasma cutter.
I trimmed the wire ends and hooked up the two plugs. Don’t worry about the wire colors as I know they don’t match but it is wired up right to work.
Then I installed a piece of steel wire to hang the cord on. I will wire the cord into the wall eventually.
I put another wire hanger on it to hang my welding helmet on and now it’s ready to go once I get time to install it in the garage.
I put the chickens away for the day and that was it for the day.
Nice day.
Hmmm maybe a dirt bike would be better than a horse!
