Fixing stuff day
I went over to where Tom was working and found him fixing stuff.
He was bolting on new tiller tines as he wore the old ones out using the tiller a lot.
And he said his golf cart died on him.
He found one of the battery cable connectors had corroded away.
John Deere
I had stuff to fix too. The John Deere mechanic was due at one. I met him at my place and took him through the state park up to where Skiddy was parked. He started looking for the problem.
He started checking out stuff to do with the fuel supply.
After checking some stuff, he took it for a ride to see if the problem would show up. It did.
Like me, he determined the fuel pump was bad. He’d brought a new one with him and proceeded to replace the old bad one.
Eventually, he said, ok, take it for a test drive. I did and he’d fixed the problem, the machine had a bunch more power now.
He took off and headed on back to his shop.
Neighbor’s place
I decided to go up and visit a neighbor in the high country. The grass is turning brown already as things are drying out fast.
There’s always a nice view from up here, looking towards the ocean which is just on the other side of these mountains.
They have a little girl about three that kept us busy playing with her and we had a nice visit.
As I was leaving, I walked by this little king snake on their lawn.
Moving Skiddy to the up the hill
I rode on back to where Skiddy was parked and took it back up to the hill top so I could use it on another neighbor’s place tomorrow. Since I took it up the hill, I had to walk back down the hill to get the side by side and headed on home for the day.
