Skiddy gets fixed

I was in bed when my brother Tom came by to tell me he just saw the John Deere truck go by and up to the state park. He was three hours early and going to the wrong place instead of at my house. I got dressed and caught up to him in the park at the rest rooms and directed him back to my place to work on fixing Skiddy’s low fuel pressure problem. He got right to work on taking it apart.guy2

He’s removing the fuel outlet tube from the fuel tank to check it out for being plugged up and causing the low fuel pressure problem.guy3

Sure enough, the outlet tube screen was plugged up with pieces of plastic they did not remove when drilling the fuel tank for fittings during it’s manufacture process.pluggedtube

He cleaned the plastic particles off the screen.closeupscreen

He put it all back together and it worked, but it will need a good workout to gave it a real test.

Forest bike ride

After the guy left, Barry showed up for a ride in the forest. We rode all around and then stopped here to check something out.hole3

There was this peculiar little hole in the ground about six inches deep where one should not be.hole1

And there was this plastic spoon and this large can of yams that had been opened up. At first I thought an animal opened up the can but looking closer, I think someone used a screw driver to open it up to eat the yams. The small hole in the ground might have been for a fire he never built. There was still a little yam stuff in the bottom of the can. The guy that did this was caught trying to get out a week or so ago as he got locked in with the gate and needed some help to get out.can2

We continued our ride and eventually made it up to our break area.view4

After a good ride around the forest we headed back to  my house and ate some cherries.cherries5

Nice day.
