Lazy day
Yup, I was real sore when I got it going today from all the exercise I got at Nathan’s yesterday.
Thunder and lightning
We’d been having some unusual thunder and lightning in our area the last couple of days and last night it started a fire up the road from me but the fire guys got it under control and out. I could hear thunder all day long but a long ways away, likely most of it was out over the Pacific ocean otherwise all of California would be burning and some of it is.
Potatoes got planted
I had some old potatoes I needed to get in the ground to grow some newer ones so I got the shovel out and put them in the ground I’d turned over the other day.
The lazy part
I did a lot of chair hopping and puttering around the yard. My grapes are getting ripe so I ate a bunch of them and a few raspberries as that’s mostly what’s ripe right now.
And of course there were a nap or two during the day.
And a little work
Towards evening I mixed up some chicken feed and checked my feed supplies which look good for now.
Roosting chickens
This is the young chickens roost as they are settling in for the night. Being young it takes them longer to settle down.
Than these older mature chickens.
They threatened us with another rolling power outage tonight but it never happened so I guess people are conserving.
Nice easy day.
I’d say you deserved a slow day after the climbing around the hills on the previous day!
