Ride in the forest

With not much to do today, I rode up through the state park to where Skiddy was parked to check the fuel in it. Half a tank, enough to do some work if need be.

Cousin visit

Then I rode over to my cousin’s place which was close by for a visit and to find out how my cousin’s recent rafting trip to her son’s went that lives in Idaho. She said she had a great time as the fishermen let her do most of the raft piloting while they fished, which she likes to do.

Enjoying the day

After that, I rode on over to this overlook and just sat around and enjoyed the day for a spell as it was a real nice day.

Fish

Oh, I forgot to say I got some mosquito fish from my cousin while I was there from her little pond. These little guys eat mosquito larva, so it’s always a good idea to put some in any water hole.

New water hole

I’m developing this new little water hole, so it needs some little fish.

The little fish should do well and here’s a few of them that I just put in the pool of water so they can do their thing.

Pig wallow spring

Then I rode on over to this spring which is not flowing as well as it should and worked on unplugging it by blowing back into the pipe until it was flowing better.

That’s better, much more water coming out of it now. I hooked up the pipe so it flows into our water system tanks.

Main spring

From there, I rode on over to our main spring to check it’s water flow which was doing fine, so no need to do anything to it.

Nap

I headed on home from there for a much needed nap.

Visiting

I hadn’t been up to this neighbor’s place in some time now, so I headed on up to this place through the state park.

I found Tim home and followed him in his machine up to this spot. He’s working on pulling a big fir tree out that he wants to cut into a twenty foot beam. 12×12 inch.

He gave me a good tour of what he was doing and we had a nice visit.

Then I rode on over to this neighbor that I was at yesterday. They were supposed to send me an email, but I never got it so I had them fix up that problem.

They were working on putting up some fire proof siding to fix a lot of termite damage and getting close to finishing up that. I supervised.

They got the last sheet up while I played with the dog, throwing sticks for her. She’s an old dog that just loves to play with sticks. Since she is so old, I don’t throw the sticks far.

Tom’s garden

I worked my way home through our place after that finding Tom weeding his garden. He’s known as the potato king at the farmer’s market.

Napping

I went in for a nap after that. I do a lot of naps as  I don’t sleep well with my corn problem itching.

Wild blackberry vines

Later in the afternoon, I got my loopers and started to work on these blackberry vines that are getting out of hand.

I worked away cutting them back.

I was working on this chicken pen and pretty much got all of these ones cut back and then went in for another nap.
