Taking Apart the Van’s Spring Shackles and Some Forest Exercise

Monday February 20, 2023 Guerneville CA.

Wood cutting

I  heard  my brother Barry was up in the hills cutting his firewood. Seemed like a good time to hop on the dirt bike and go for a ride up there, so off I went.

I found him at the top of the hill and parked the bike.barry1

We sat around shooting the bull for a bit, then he got back to work and I went off for a dirt bike ride.woodcutter2

View spot

I stopped here where I cut this tree out of the way of the view and now the stump makes a nice chair to enjoy the view.stump3

I sat and enjoyed the view for a bit and rested up before continuing my ride.sky4

Van’s shackle bushing repair

When I returned home, I got to work on the van’s shackles, taking this one apart.bushing5

These things always seem to be a hassle, especially getting the rubber bushings out which always seem to be stuck.bolt6

Other side

I got that one apart and moved over to the other side of the van and took the right side shackle off too. Now I can check out the parts and see what I need to order up to get these fixed up right.otherside7

Exercise

I did some chair hopping and around three, I rode up to this trail and walked out it and moved dirt until 5;30 for some exercise.trail8

Nice day.

Van repairs seem like a sign for travel.

You sure do get your exercise on those trails. Love the tree stump chair.
