Chatting with a neighbor
It was a warm day today, so I didn’t do much. I finally got it going and rode my side by side up to a neighbors to discuss some more work to do with him on his place. He just needs to get a couple days off and we’ll get it done.
I let him try out my skidder a couple of weeks ago and he was real impressed with it. Says he has a friend that is going to bring his machine up for him to borrow for awhile. The skidder is a neat machine and operating it is sorta like being a robot in control of a big shovel in front of you as you work.
After our visit, I headed on home down through the state park. Not many people in the park today, likely because it was a bit on the warm side.
I went on home and ate some cherries trying not to over do it, which isn’t easy as they just slip on down so easily.
And then I spent the rest of the day just taking it easy chair hopping around the yard with the chickens and trying not to consume too many more cherries.
Nice day.
Have you considered freezing some cherries? They do freeze well in ziploc bags. Great to eat to cool off. Just don’t bite down on a pit. The frozen ones I buy are pitted already.
