Checking road work
It rained last night, so I needed to go up and check out the road work to see how it did. It did alright, except for all the people coming in and out tearing it up a bit.
I made a mistake in that I should of done the work earlier before it rained so it had time to get packed in by the local users going over it. As it was, the dirt was real loose and absorbed a lot of water so when they used it, they turned some of it to mush.
I’ll have to fix it up a bit once it dries out some and figure out how to do the rest of it in a better way, so the neighbors don’t revolt. :O)
Forest ride
After checking out the road, I went for a ride around the property and stopped here to move this brush off the road.
And then I drove on this road.
To get up to this break area where I sat for awhile enjoying the day. A few clouds left over from last night’s rain.
Water pool
I drove on down to check out the little water pool. It was full of water from the rain.
I rode around some more then took this road to the little pond.
The little pond has about a foot more water in it from the rains.
Brush
I stopped here to trim some brush off the side of the road.
And eventually I headed for home and a nap.
Woodpecker
I was sitting out in the yard in the evening chair hopping when I spotted a woodpecker going into this bird house for the night. It was too fast to get a picture.
