Forest ride
Barry showed up in my yard this morning for a dirt bike ride up in the forest. We took off and had to stop here to throw this log off the road.
Waterfall
We rode on up to our waterfall to check it out.
Park road check
We rode over to where I’ve been working on the road in the park. Most of it looked good, but the locals have dug a big sink hole in one spot that was pretty muddy. I’ll come back after our ride to put some rock in that sink hole.
We rode around some more and had to stop here so Barry could throw some of these rocks off the road.
The top
We made it to our break area for a break.
The view from there is always pretty nice.
Pond
We went by the pond. It looks like the ravens have been using it to bathe as it’s a little muddy today.
Wild mushrooms
We continued our ride and stopped here to go for a short walk to look for wild mushrooms. We didn’t find any that were any good.
Road work
Barry took off for home and I went up to where Skiddy was parked to do some road work filling up that sink hole with rock.
I hauled about ten buckets full of rock down to that sink hole in the road. Jim came by with his tractor for a load of rock for his road.
I got that sink hole filled up. I sunk in it with Skiddy and almost got stuck in the process. That just made the sink hole even bigger.
State Park
I went on home by way of the state park. This is the redwood tree that fell that they were working on cleaning up the other day.
I made it home for a nap.
