Raining
It was raining good today when I got it going. I hung around the house for awhile but then I got antsy and got all my rain gear on and rode Hondo up into the woods to check out the dirt road I have been working on.
Park
I rode up through the state park which was pretty wet.
With lots of big rain puddles to ride through. Not too many people in the park today, but there were some, mostly with umbrellas.
Dirt road
I made it up to the dirt road and rode on up it checking it out for erosion problems. It was mostly in good shape.
I did note a couple spots that needed to be improved a bit where water was flowing where it shouldn’t. I was able to fix some of them with the shovel.
Here, water is flowing off this road and onto the dirt road I’ve been working on. I’ll need to fix this with my equipment after these rains pass, with my Skidder. It doesn’t look bad here, but it gets worse as it flows down the steep road.
I did what I could for the road, then rode on over to my cousin’s place where I used the shovel to stop this water from going down the road. I’ll need Skiddy to fix this one after the rains stop.
From there, I rode on down through our place and didn’t find any problems on the roads there.
Once home I got out of the wet rain gear and warmed up by the heater.
