Filling the Ditch and Enjoying My Yard With the Chickens

Moving dirt day

I went over to help my brother work on  his main water line project.

I helped him finish hooking up all the pipes and then we tested the system and it passed.

That meant it was time to throw all the dirt back in the ditch. I worked on that until about five and then went back to my place to rest up.

Chickens

But first I let the chickens into the front yard as they were waiting at the gate.

They spread out to do their thing hunting for goodies to eat.

They graze away while I sit in my chairs.

They brighten the day

The daffodils are the cheeriest part of the yard right now.

I walked by these ones on the way to another chair.

And once I sat down this was my view as I rested up.
