Forest work
I’m still at it, rocking the old road, that is. It takes a long time to haul rock as I have to haul it about a half mile down the road, one scope at a time.
I started off by digging some of the mud out of the tracks. It doesn’t last long before the tracks are full of mud again.
Goats, lots of goats
I hauled rock for a couple of hours when I was returning to the rock slide to get another load of rock, I saw a couple hundred goats heading down the road.
The goats had been out feeding on brush in the forest and were headed on home, and went on down the road past the rock slide area. The goat lady said she was going to be grazing her goats in the forest.
I hauled rock until about four when I noticed the fuel gauge was reading on the low side, so it was time to quit and refuel.
Electric fuel pump
I have a 12 volt electric pump to transfer the fuel. It just has to be hooked up to the side by side’s battery and the rest is easy.
This is the fuel pump, ready to pump fuel.
It works pretty good, although sometimes it’s hard to get it primed to pump.
Once fueled up, I was done with that project for the day.
Overlook
I drove on over to the overlook for a break. But first, I wanted to dig out the chair spot a little bit.
The sun had already gone down to the west and it would be dark soon.
Pool
I went by the water pool on the way home. Some green grass is growing there for animals to eat. Lots of water coming down the pipe right now.
Nice day.
