I got a late start today, but I got it going around one and headed on up to the old road after I loaded some fuel for Skiddy in Hondo.
Buying beef
On the way, I stopped in the state park to talk with Annie about buying some beef from her as she raises them on her acreage. It turns out she won’t have any beef for sale for several months, so that’s not going to work out. I’ll have to look elsewhere.
To work
I headed on up the old road to the top where I’m working on hauling some rock to the old road, one bucket load at a time.
Fueling up
But first I had to transfer fuel to the Skidder, using my electric fuel pump.
Greasing up
I also needed to grease the machine so I got the stuff out to do that and did it.
I worked most of the day hauling rock to the old road, mostly trying to repair wet muddy spots in the road from the recent rains.
Quitting time
I worked until just after four, then quit for the day and went for a ride in the forest on the way home. I stopped at this overlook area to take a good break and enjoy the day some.
Pond
And I went by the pond on the way home stopping to check it out. The water is a bit dirty, most likely from the raven’s bathing and drinking in it.
