Going down
We are headed down off the mountains today on this road.
And on down towards Susanville and then on to Janesville to get gas,… But.
Break down
We just got back on the pavement and my van’s engine quit, so I pulled over to check it out. We determined that the injectors weren’t getting any fuel for some reason.
We checked over things but could not figure out the problem.
Towed
So, I culled my towing service, AAA.
It took two tries and the guy showed up and loaded the van to take it back to Susanville.
Richs Mobile Shop
I always ask the tow truck driver where the best place is to take the van to get repaired and he recommended these guys at Richs Mobile shop in Susanville.
It was after 4 when we arrived and they said they’d take a look at the van in the morning which they did. They found out the fuel injector relay was bad and replaced it and we were out of there by 1 PM. I only had to spend one night in a motel room.
The guys at Richs Mobile Shop were excellent and took real good care of me and my van.
Back to the forest
We drove out of Susanville and headed about ten miles down the road to Janesville to fuel up and then headed to our base camp in the Plumas forest.
After we got settled in I went for a walk up the creek.
With the sun going down, the views were nice.
