Touring Eden Bench
It was raining lightly as I got it going this morning as you can see looking out my side doors.
As I looked around I could see why they call this spot Eden Bench.
Here’s looking over the side to the Grand Rhone River.
Dan didn’t need a supervisor today
When I went over to the main house I found Dan working on dividing up a bedroom with a new wall. I supervised a bit, but he had it mostly figured out. I puttered around the yard checking out some projects for most of the day.
The chickens were having a good time.W
Walking over to the feed barn
After dinner I decided to go for a little walk to the feed barn. This field was just outside the gate on the way.
These deer were working over the salt lick.
I headed out this road to the barn, about a mile.
I passed by these deer. That one deer looks more like a kangaroo.
When I got to the barn I sat down by it for a break and this was my view.
Spooked cow
As I sat there this cow came around the corner of the barn and saw me and spooked and ran out into the field.
It had a full udder, so it must have had a calf close by.
Following an elk trail
When I left the barn I tried to find an elk trail back the way the road came and I got on this one and walked it until it came back to the road.
The elk trail came back on the road here and I continued on down it checking out the views.
This is looking across the canyon to O. W. Moore’s place. We used to take Sue the 92 year old lady over to that ranch to hunt deer about fifteen years ago or so. The Moore’s are old timers around here.
As I neared the house, this was my view across the canyon that the Grand Rhone river flows in.
We still had a couple hours of daylight when I returned, so I retired to my van to continue with my book and that was it for me today for a nice one.
A nice easy day, love those too.
