Rainy day
We were going to get one more day of heavy rain today. No use me hanging around today. I needed to get some shopping done, so I donned my rain coat and headed on over to the shopping center, once I checked to make sure none of the roads to get there were closed from flooding. Some roads were closed by flooding yesterday, but today, the water had gone down so I was good to go.
Pickles
My first stop was Andy’s produce where I bought three jars of dill pickles that were the fermented type.
Shovels
Then I rode on over to Home Depot where I purchased two shovels as I was getting low on shovels at home, as I broke a couple of shovels recently. I got the good ones for about 40 bucks a piece.
Costco
Next it was off to Costco to get some goodies to eat. I shopped for what I needed and when I went out the door, the rain came pouring down. I pulled up my hoody and headed for the car, getting a bit wet.
Just as I got the last item loaded in the car, the down pour stopped.
I headed for home as the afternoon rains picked up and came down real heavy.
Diesel
I was going to stop to get some containers filled up with diesel for my Skidder, but with the heavy rain, I drove on by the station and will get it later.
Wrong town
Somehow, in my older age, I ended up going through a busy town that I didn’t need to go through. The high school was letting out and the traffic was terrible. I’m not sure what I did wrong to end up going through that town.
Anyway it continued to rain hard the rest of the day as I got my stuff unloaded from my car. Once that was done, it was nap time.
