Never again
I give up on fixing dirt bike tires starting today as they are just too hard to fix without messing things up, such as cutting holes in the tube.
To the bike shop
I headed over to the bike shop with my disassembled tire and gave it to them to fix.
Shopping
They said it would be awhile, so I headed out to do some shopping and returned in a couple of hours.
Ready
The tire was fixed and ready to go when I returned. I gladly paid the 35 dollars and drove on home.
After a break and putting stuff away when I got home, I installed the fixed tire back on my dirt bike without too much fuss.
From now on, that’s the way I going to do it.
New jack stand
My old jack stand to lift the bike up was a piece of crap and jammed while trying to lift the bike up.
So I cut it up to use some of it to make a new jack stand using my floor jack.
I cut a couple pieces of angle iron to use to mount this piece to the floor jack.
This will slide onto the floor jack.
I welded up a little angle piece to use as a stop.
This should work much better without any pains.
