Bike ride
Barry was coming by today for another bike ride up into the forest.
Chain
I needed to get my dirt bike chain oiled up, so it was a good time to try out the jack I made yesterday to lift up the bike to make it easier to oil up the chain. The jack worked real good with no hassles and I got lots of oil on the chain.
Bike ride
Barry showed up and I suggested we ride on up through the state park and go up and visit Rob who lives in the hill tops.
On the way to Rob’s place we headed up to one of the highest peaks for the view. I got a slow start on this steep hill and it was real rocky and slippery and I didn’t make it. I had a hard time getting the bike back up and getting it down the hill as I couldn’t get on it and my feet were slipping on the loose rocks and I almost fell over a few times, but I made it by moving real slow.
I gave that hill one more try and barely made it to the top for the view.
There are a number of monuments for people that have passed up there by the bench.
We made it to Rob’s place and found him working on a bit of cement foundation that he’d just poured. He got a phone call to go down to pick up a couple of new windows a guy was delivering at his front gate so we sat down and waited for him to return. His dog Bella is a stick lover and was always trying to get one to throw a stick for her, so she pestered Barry until he threw the stick for her.
Rob returned with his new windows and after shooting some more bull we took off for our ride in the forest and eventually ended up at our break area here at this hill top.
Little pond
After a good break, we took off and headed over to our little pond that seems to have a leak in it somewhere as the water level has been dropping rather fast.
I checked the spring that provides water to the little pond which seemed to be doing it’s job providing water for the pond, so a leak must have developed recently.
We headed for home stopping at this spring for a drink of water.
