Tire repair

I started the day by taking off my dirt bike tire on my 140 as yesterday, I got a flat front tire while I was out riding. I rounded up all the tools and got the tire apart and found the leak in the tube, but I don’t have anything to patch the tube so that was all I got done on that today. I plan to order up a new tube later.

Chainsaw repair

I also worked on getting the new coil module installed in the chainsaw. I got it put on, but with the bright sun shining, I couldn’t see if the spark was getting to the spark plug, so I left it for later in the evening to check out the spark. I checked it again in the evening and it had spark, so I left it for another day to put it all back together.

Forest ride

I didn’t know what to do for the rest of the day, so I decided to go on up into the hills and check some stuff on the old dirt road I’ll need  to do.

I need to make all the water crossings better so cars can cross them easier, so I studied the one crossing that works well so I can duplicate it on all the other crossings.

I rode around some, just enjoying the day and then went on down the hill and out through this gate.

And rode down into the state park and on home.

Saturday April 5, 2025 Guerneville CA.

I didn’t have anything planned for the day so I sat around with the chickens for some chair hopping.

Eventually, I decided to go for a bike ride up into the hills to visit with some neighbors.

I rode up into the forest on the Talking Trees Trail. The trees only talk when it is real windy, so they were real quiet today.

I rode out this road to get to my neighbors.

These neighbors live high up on the hill tops and this is the road I used to get to their place, just around the corner.

There’s always a good view from up high on the hills.

I made it to their place, but no one was home.

And they haven’t started working on this years garden yet.

I did steel an orange to eat. Hummm good.

After eating my orange, I rode on over to another neighbors, who lives down in a canyon.

I parked here and hollered out, anyone home. I heard some noise in the house and Jim finally came out so we had a good bull session.

When I left his place I heard a funny noise up near my front tire. I stopped to check out the front tire and found it was almost flat, so I went back to the house and got some air for the front tire.

The air in the front tire didn’t last long and I ended up riding home with it flat. I made it home ok. I didn’t feel like fixing the tire, but I did feel like a nap was in order.
