Road prep
I’d planned to finish up some grading on the road we are going to rock in the park.
I headed up that way and I remembered to take my camera, but then forgot it in my side by side.
Slippery spot
I’d gotten an email this morning from a lady that lived up there that went down the road and had a nice slide in the mud where a water spring had popped out and made the road real wet which turned to sloppy mud.
Rock
So I hauled a couple loads of rock down to it with Skiddy and spread it out, then moved down the road to try and drain some other water off the lower road by cutting small ditches in the road to drain the water off it.
Then I moved down to the area of the recent rock slide and smoothed the rock on the road up a bit.
From there I continued down the road to where there is a cement crossing for a water ditch. I cleaned out the cement crossing.
That done, I moved back up the road to check on the wet place the spring was crossing to make the road a sloppy mess, to check it out.
I didn’t put near enough rock on it earlier and it was a real muddy mess now as a couple trucks went through earlier
So I spent the rest of the day hauling more rock to the muck which took quite a few loads. I just barely finished when it got dark.
I did stop here to retrieve my camera from Hondo so I could get a couple pictures.
I’m headed up the road to get another bucket of rock.

Muddy spot
I have a bucket full of rock to add to the other rock I already put in this wet, muddy spot.
I”m hopeful I got enough rock in the muck so no one slides off the road.
I made it back to my equipment parking area just before dark and headed for home.
