I needed to chat with some of the neighbors that live up in the hills that use a road to get to their places that I’m going to be doing some work on later in the year.
Goat lady
I rode Hondo up into the hills and was parked here for a bit, when the Goat lady neighbor drove up, headed for her home. She raises a lot of goats at her place, like more than a hundred of them. I chatted with her about the road and got her approval on what I plan to do to fix the road up.
She took off for her place and I was about to take off too for anther neighbors when I heard a truck coming up the hill so I waited. It was another neighbor so I had a talk with with him about the road.

We chatted and I got his approval and he took off for his place.
Jim’s place
After that, I headed down the back hill to Jim’s place where I was originally headed.
I found Jim starting his little tractor which he is going to use to do some prep work on the road.
Jim and I hopped in Hondo and I took him down to the road I’m planning to work on and discussed what I wanted him to do with his tractor, then I took him back to his place.
Cousin’s place
So far things where going well. I still needed to talk with my cousin so I headed for her place. I caught her in her outdoor shower. :O)
I chatted with her and her husband about the road and made sure my plans were to their approval, which they were.
Everyone wants to get this road fixed up as it has a bad wash out problem in the winter and is causing a lot of erosion problems down in the state park.
My talks with the neighbors all went well, so I headed down the hill towards home, stopping at my dozer to do a couple of things.
The rest of the day I spent chair hopping around the yard thinking about what transpired with the neighbors.
