My main goal today was to do some van prepping to get ready for a trip in a couple days, so I worked on loading things up on and off all day.
Mowing weeds
The weeds in the yard needed to be mowed before I leave so I used this mower to get that job done.
I started mowing these weeds along the driveway.
The mower made quick work of those weeds.
I mowed this part too. I left a lot of weeds to go to seed for the chickens.
Weird plant
I was wondering if the weird plant had bloomed or not yet, so I rode the bike up this narrow trail to the ridge top to check it out.
When I first looked at the plant, I thought it hadn’t bloomed and was wondering if it would ever bloom.
Blooms
Then I saw some buds had popped out near the bottom so it was blooming.
It was just starting to bloom and this is what the flowers looked like. Not very spectacular.
I’m still not sure what it is as I didn’t have time to look it up.
On the way back down the hill, I stopped at this spot to go pay my respects.
Memorial plot
This is our family memorial plot where several family members are laid to rest.
From there, I went on home and continued loading up the van and getting it all ready to travel. I have one more day to finish it off and will be leaving Thursday.

That flower whatever-it-is thing is just weird. Maybe it’s alien! LOL.
