Forest ride
It was threatening to rain today as I got in my side by side and headed up to the forest.
On the way, I stopped to talk with Tom who was working on his house and told him the lady that he sold the old tractor to needed to pick up the back rack for the tractor but didn’t have a way to get it up to her place. He said he could bring it up to her.
So I headed on up to her place to chat with her. She lived way in the back woods and raises a bunch of goats, so we usually call her the goat lady. I found her home and she came up to chat with me. She doesn’t like people coming down to her yard as she doesn’t like to tame down all her big dogs that protect the goats in her yard.
We were having a good chat about stuff when we heard a rig coming down the road. It was Tom with her rack or carrier. Here she is with one of her big dogs as Tom drove up with her carrier. This is one of her big dogs which she says is the friendliest one of the bunch.
Rain
It started to rain lightly and was slowly picking up.
The carrier
I helped Tom unload her carrier for the back of the tractor. It’s something one of my late uncles made to haul his firewood with his tractor.
Tom took off and we shot the bull some more. With the rain picking up, I took off and headed for home before I got too wet.
It rained lightly for the rest of the day, so I stayed in the house for a nap.
Stove repair
A bit later, I decided to replace the control on my cook stove that I’ve been meaning to do for some time now. I had some trouble finding the right circuit breaker for that, but finally did and got the new control installed and it’s working properly now without getting electrocuted.
Nice day, even with the light rain.
