Skiddy’s problem
When Tom got home from selling at the Farmer’s market I had him take me up into the hills to move Skiddy closer to a place for John Deere to work on Skiddy.
Tom took me to where I left Skiddy yesterday and I got it started and headed uphill to start off. It bucked a couple of times then I drove it down the hill at full throttle and the problem never happened again. I was surprised, so I drove it back up the hill and still no problem, so I drove it back down the hill where Tom was waiting to pick me up and it still worked just fine. So, what’s going on?
Not sure, so I told Tom let’s take it back up the hill where I usually park it and I’ll have to just do some more work with it to keep testing it and try to figure out what’s going on and when it fails again, I’ll watch real close to see if it throws some error codes.
It seems it works fine when I first start to use it each day and then it eventually messes up again near the end of the day. That’s been how it’s been acting each day I’ve used it and it’s failed, even after the new fuel pump was installed as tested today.
I did check the stored error codes and there is one more in there, so I’ll have to find out what that one means from the John Deere dealer tomorrow.
I drove on home with Tom for a nap and to think about what is wrong with it. Its’ not really getting very hot, so I don’t think that is the problem.
Darn blackberry vines
With all the rain we had last winter and for the last several years, the blackberry vines in the yard are growing very fast and large. I got out the loppers to start trimming the vines back a bit.
The chickens came over to check out the action, but they don’t eat blackberry vines and don’t like them at all because of the nasty thorns they have.
I started cutting things back in this section.
I got that section cut back pretty good.
And I was able to get the part under this tree cut back before my back started to scream at me to stop.
I spent the rest of the day resting up my back chair hopping around the yard.
