Neighbor’s roads
Tom and I went over to a neighbor’s place to help clear his roads of brush. We do this at no charge because a neighbor’s place with open roads is good for our properties fire protection. If a fire can be stopped before it gets to our place, that’s a good thing. Tom and Barry also like to hunt for wild mushrooms on this neighbors place too.
The brush is thick on his place, mostly scotch broom. There’s a road in here someplace.
The brush is just really thick and it’s hard to even find the old roads.
I rode skiddy on down this road and cleared some brush off it.
I depend on Tom to help find where the old roads are, so he walks around looking for them. Some of the old roads, he knows from hunting mushrooms in this area. He also does some chainsaw cutting on the larger dead trees that have fallen across the roads.
Here’s some of the larger logs that we cleared out.
We got a good start on the roads, and got real dusty doing it.
Nice day.
