Shopping
I needed some bolts and some transmission oil for my dozer, so I headed for Tractor Supply to get this stuff. I got three pales of oil so I’d have plenty of it on supply for when I needed it. I also like the way they sell their bolts. They sell them by the pound, so you just get what you want and throw it all in a bag, nothing to write down and keep track of and they just weigh it all on a scale. Easy peasy.
When I returned home, I needed a little nap.
Forest hike
I had a place I wanted to check out up in the forest, so I rode my dirt bike up to this spot and parked here.
I walked up this side road a short distance to check stuff out.
My neighbor has their main spring up here. They collect water in this tank and pump it up to their house. The spring is up the road on the right, with all the downed trees across it.
Up that road, just a bit.
Spring
The spring is in a good spot, under this rock cliff and just above those big ferns.
This water pipe gets the water up to their house and into their main water tank.
Maybe I can get another neighbor to cut these trees up for fire wood to get rid of them.
I’m checking this spot out as I want to dump some water off a road above the spring and I don’t want it to go into the spring area.
My pond
On the way home I stopped by my pond to check the water level. It’s dropped another three inches or so. Springs seem to be slowing down a bit this time of the year, which is normal.
