Visiting day
Once I took care of the chickens I drove up to the closed redwood park by my house and made it through the gate at the entrance. The park is closed until they get it all cleaned up after the recent forest fire.
It’s like the old days when there weren’t many people in the park before it became popular.
In fact there was no one in the park today but me as I drove on up the hill headed for the Hermit’s house.
Hermit’s place
I made it the two miles or so up to his house and parked here in his driveway.
It was pretty quiet around but I could hear some music from inside the house. I rang the bell and heard a voice saying, who’s there.
Nathan
It took a bit but eventually Nathan came out and we had a nice talk.
We walked around a bit shooting the bull.
Good visit
We had a nice visit for an hour or so and then I headed on back home down the hill and through the park.
Chicken chores
By then it was after 3 so I let the chickens out into the front yard.
I did some napping and chair hopping and before I knew it, it was dark.
Nice day.
Nice that you were able to have a visit with the Hermit. Obviously he likes his time alone but I’m sure he appreciated that you stopped by.
