Cool start to the day
When I went outside this morning it was overcast with no sun out and cool so it wasn’t a good day to get any work done.
Maybe nicer at the river
It looked like it was going to rain, but it wasn’t yet, so maybe I could get a yak in as it might be nicer at the river.
So I drove on down towards the river, but before I got to Monte Rio, big large cold looking rain drops where starting come own, so I knew there’d be no yakking today.
Not much going on in Monte Rio
Since I was almost at Monte Rio I drove down to the boat ramp to have a look. I met Jim there taking his boat out of the water. He’d been down fishing the slot but no luck. I chatted with him a bit as he’s a blog reader.
Rained out
Looking down river you can see the rain drops hitting the water.
Seemed like a good day to return home and read as it looked like that kind of day.
On the way home I stopped at the local Safeway and did some shopping and continued on home where I put the groceries away.
Stoking the fire
It was raining lightly as I got the firewood in for the day.
My neighbors cat was about and came into the house for a bit to get out of the rain, then she went back outside. She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s staying with me while her owner is on vacation for three weeks.
I got the fire all stoked up and settled down for some reading while the rain drops pitter pattered on the roof.
Cat joins me
After dark, I went outside to see if the cat was around and wanted to come in yet. I didn’t see her at first, but shortly she showed up and came into the house. She’s now going all around the house checking things out and will likely settle down in a while. Eventually she will find her spots.
That was it for me today, just reading away.
You’re right, great reading day. At least the cat had company today.
