Van tidy up
I had tools and stuff all over the van’s floor that needed cleaning up and some putting away.
That’s better. I took the sheets off the bed and took them in to wash them up.
Washer problems
My washer has been leaking a little water sometimes when I use it, so I thought I’d take a look at it. I used the dirty towel to soak up some of the water.
It seems to look like it might be overfilling the water a bit so I opened the washer up and took that hose off the water level gauge and spun the machine to make sure all the water was out of it and hooked it back up.
That didn’t work
I washed the bedding and more water than ever was on the floor. I guess the next step is to turn the washer over and have a look at the bottom. A new washer might be in the works.
Rat bait station
I noticed the rat bait station was empty of pellets, so I got some more and added them to the bait pan. The green lid goes over the top.
On the right is the cam that goes to my computer to monitor the station. It records motion so I can watch it, real time or from what’s stored, from the computer. This station is what finally controlled the out of control rats in my house and garage after trying everything else that didn’t work.
After that I did some chair hopping with the chickens.
Apricots
I thought this was the only apricot left, but as I was getting it to eat, I spotted one more, which I left for later.
The chickens follow me around, I think they think they might get something to eat and they don’t want to miss out.
Strawberries
I only had a few ripe strawberries in the blueberry patch, so I ate some blueberries too.
Water gauge problem
The water gauge on our water tanks isn’t working well and is sticking. I knew I had a flout I found on the river kayaking somewhere, so I hunted it up. I’ll be installing it on the water tank gauge soon, maybe tomorrow.
This flout came out of the Pacific ocean and made it’s way into the river. No telling where it might have come from.
1000M, I think means it’s good down to that depth in the ocean, likely on a big net.
Bike jack
Tom had this bike jack which I’ll need when I mount my new tires that are coming soon. This should help make the job easier.
Step box
And when I went past this van step and box, I thought it’s about time I repair it from when I broke it. It’s all screwed together so should be easy to fix. I’ll have to make some new boards. Not today.
Wild blackberries
I noticed these blackberries in with my grapes and made them disappear.
Since there weren’t many blackberries, I indulged in some mulberries.
Nice day.
Grazing through the day is wonderful.
Busy day!! I love that you can just wander around your yard and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.
