Spring pond camp
We were sitting around here this morning when Marty decided to try his hand at fishing. He set up his fishing rig to give it a try.
He’s trying fishing but had no luck.
We got on the road and stopped at this historic marker. We are traveling on one of the immigrate trails that went west for some of the first settlers that traveled with horses and wagons.
These guys only had horses and wagons and not much of a road when they went through here in 1860. We had it pretty good compared to what they had to go through.
Donkeys
They were a nice looking bunch and not scared of us as we passed them by.
And stopped at this historic marker to see what it said.
The road is in better shape now.
We made it out of the dessert and into Janesville CA. for gas.
After gassing up, we headed back into the Plumas forest to a beaver pond camp we knew about and have been to before. We made camp here for the night.
Our camp overlooks part of the beaver pond.
Nice day.
