Prepping Old Cars and a Walk and a Ride In the Hills

Old cars

I have two old cars it’s time to get rid of. I needed to move one of them and clean out the stuff I had in them. This one is the newest one and just has to be cleaned out a bit of the junk I left in it.

This is the oldest one and has to be moved out to a better spot for a tow rig to pick it up. I hooked a chain on it to tow it out of this spot.

I used Hondo to pull it out.

And parked it here for the tow truck. Eventually, I’ll call the wrecker guys to pick them up as I don’t need them anymore. I kept them around, mostly for parts and my metric bolt supply.

Wasps

I pulled the old car out from here and seemed to have disturbed a wasp nest as they were flying all around the place. I looked for their nest but couldn’t detect where it was.

Later in the day

I rode my dirt bike up into the hills for a ride and to check on some stuff. I stopped at the pond for a bit and it’s holding it’s own as far as the water level.

Hair pin turn

Eventually, I made it to this spot, a hair pin turn on the road all the neighbors use to get up to their places. I need to remake the turn so a fire truck can get around it, so I needed to study the turn to figure out what to do to fix it. I have some plans, but need to keep checking it out to improve on them.

From there, I rode up to this overlook for a break.

Trail walk

This trail started by that overlook and I walked out it a bit, not planning to walk out it, but it was so inviting, I walked out it about a quarter mile or so.

I’d forgotten I’d left a chair out in at this spot.

So, I sat in the chair for an hour or so enjoying the forest.

And then walked back to where I had the bike parked.

I sat at that spot for a spell enjoying this view.

And then I headed for home going the long way.

I checked on the wasps and they were still flying around and I spotted this lizard by where the wasps were.

And this one too. They seemed to be waiting for a meal. Not sure if it was wasps or some fly’s that were flying around but they seemed to be after something.
